Here’s how you can put it to work for you:
  • Exercise before class! Perform 20-30 minutes of moderate intensity cardiovascular exercise before class to remain alert and help you retain what you are about to learn.
  • Take exercise study breaks! Take breaks when you are studying, working through difficult homework, or writing a paper, and enjoy some physical activity! Sometimes we think we don’t have time to fit it in, but it actually helps our brains compute and process the work we are doing. It is helpful for problem solving!
  • Exercise before a quiz, exam, or presentation! This can help relieve anxiety and allow you to think more clearly during the assessment.
  • Check out the Cardio Exercise and Student Success assignment offered in your course!
